Rebuild the Muneeba Centre

A Legacy of Faith, Accessibility, and Belonging

This vision is what we are building together: a permanent home where Muslims with disabilities can pray, learn, and belong.

The Muneeba Centre has been our home for years — a place where Muslims with disabilities prayed, learned, and gathered in dignity. But the building has grown old. It can no longer carry the weight of our community’s needs.

Right now, we are in a temporary space, gifted to us in kindness. But it won’t last. We urgently need to rebuild the Muneeba Centre into a fully inclusive, fully accessible Islamic Centre — a permanent home where no Muslim is left behind.

Faith and Giving

﴿ وَمَا أَنفَقْتُم مِّن شَيْءٍ فَهُوَ يُخْلِفُهُ ﴾
“Whatever you spend in the way of Allah, He will replace it.” (Surah Saba 34:39)

The Prophet ﷺ said: “When a human being dies, their deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.” (Sahih Muslim)

Supporting the rebuild of the Muneeba Centre is sadaqah jariyah. Every prayer offered, every Qur’an recited, every smile shared will be written on your scale of deeds.

Stories from Our Community

Nasr’s Story

Portrait of participant with quiet dignity

(Name changed for dignity) When Nasr’s parents entered long-term care, he was left with nowhere to go. In the system, he had no halal food, no space for prayer, and no understanding of his faith. The Muneeba Centre will ensure Muslims like Nasr always have a place where faith and dignity are preserved.

A Mother’s Prayer

Mother holding her son’s hand

Maryam is a mother of an adult daughter with a disability shared: “Every day, I pray that my daughter passes away before me — because I fear no one will care for her when I am gone.”

This heartbreaking prayer is whispered by many mothers. A rebuilt Muneeba Centre gives them hope that their children will always have a place of belonging.

Hassan the Elder

Elder with walker entering accessible prayer hall

After a car accident, Hassan could no longer access the masjid — stairs and washrooms kept him away. At the Muneeba Centre, he prayed again with his brothers. Rebuilding ensures no Muslim is cut off from worship.
